Over 200 leading brands including Best Buy, Coca-Cola, Intel, Kohl’s and Xerox attended the HookLogic Ecommerce Media Forum at Chelsea Piers in New York.
The theme of the event, held on 12 May 2016, was “Closing the Loop” between marketing and sales. Topics discussed included performance marketing, sales attribution and media relations.
The opening keynote speech was delivered by former Global Marketing Officer for Procter & Gamble and now President and CEO of the company that bears his name, Jim Stengel. The title of the speech was “Performance Driven Brands and Winning Leaders”. Stengel praised HookLogic for building “a unique community linking the advertising and ecommerce industries” and said that he was glad to “be a part of the forward thinking conversations that community is having”.
Other speakers included the Managing Director of Fung Global Retail & Technology, Deborah Weinswig, and the CEO of LUMA Partners, Terence Kajawa. Former CEO of Millennial Media and AdMeld, Michael Barrett, led a panel.
The CEO of HookLogic, Jonathan Opdyke, said that the forum had grown from humble beginnings to become “a true meeting place for the growing ecommerce media industry”, adding that “When we first started this forum series, this wasn’t even a topic on people’s minds”. He said that the forum demonstrates that performance marketing for ecommerce brands “has truly come of age”.

The company has recently enjoyed a period of rapid expansion, opening offices in Paris, Sao Paulo and Toronto, in addition to their existing offices in New York, Ann Arbor, Santa Monica and London. This was the fifth of their annual Ecommerce Media Forums.
