- **The role**
- We are looking for a commercially sharp Director of E-commerce to own the
Proven p&l
- This is a Director level role for someone who thinks like a general manager. You will set the commercial strategy, drive conversion, and make sure every function in the business is moving in the right direction.
- You will report to the CMO and work closely with brand, paid media, CRM, and engineering. You are the commercial owner of the brand, accountable for revenue and contribution.
- **What you will own**
- P&L ownership: revenue, contribution, and unit economics
- Promotional calendar
- Pricing strategy, pricing studies, and subscription economics
- Sales channel mix strategy. You set channel priorities across DTC, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and retail/emerging marketplaces.
- Market research, customer segmentation, and TAM/market sizing to inform growth strategy and investment priorities
- Competitive positioning and intelligence. Know the category cold and shape how PROVEN shows up against it
- New product commercialization. Go-to-market sequencing, channel strategy, and revenue targets
- Commercial briefing for paid media, SEO, and
Crm
- Setting targets and holding teams accountable
- Close partnership with the Product/Engineering team on all Shopify and CRO needs, including campaign landing pages, app integrations (Klaviyo, Attentive, etc.), and site merchandising. You own content strategy and define the test & learn priorities. The Product/Engineering team owns the roadmap and executes against it
- **What we are looking for**
- 5 to 9 years of DTC e-commerce experience, ideally in beauty, wellness, or subscription
- Proven track record of owning and growing a DTC P&L
- Strong analytical instincts. You are comfortable with Shopify, GA4, Mixpanel, and cohort-level data
- Experience with subscription or quiz-based acquisition models is a strong plus
- You can write a tight commercial brief, pressure-test a media plan, and read a contribution model
- Comfortable in a matrixed environment where influence matters more than headcount
- Entrepreneurial mindset. This is a lean team and you will move fast
- **Compensation**
- $160,000 to $180,000 base, plus bonus and equity.
