- **Why This Role Is Different**
- This is a unique role. To do it well, you need a rare combination:
- 1. Customer-facing instincts: comfortable on demos, onboarding calls, QBRs, and strategy reviews with founders and agency leads
- 2. Hands-on Amazon expertise: you have personally run campaigns, fixed suppressed ASINs, rewritten listings, and chased down account health issues
- 3. End-to-end brand operating chops: you can manage a brand top to bottom on Amazon, and ideally on other marketplaces too
- 4. Familiarity with technology: you are fluent with modern AI tools and curious about how they work under the hood
- 5. Ability to work with engineers and product managers: you can translate seller pain into product requirements and partner closely with a technical team to ship
- You will be the bridge between deep Amazon expertise and the AI systems that scale that expertise to thousands of sellers. Every campaign you tune, every listing you optimize, every edge case you spot becomes intelligence baked into the product. Your judgment becomes the bar that our agents have to clear.
- **What You Will Do**
- 1. Amazon PPC & Advertising Strategy
- 2. Own and execute Amazon PPC strategy across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP for customer accounts
- 3. Drive campaign optimization including bid management, keyword research, audience segmentation, negative targeting, dayparting, and budget allocation
- 4. Monitor and improve core advertising KPIs: ACoS, TACoS, ROAS, CTR, CVR, and ad-attributed revenue
- 5. Build and refine advertising rules, playbooks, and best practices that feed directly into Aakaar AI's product intelligence
- 6. Stay ahead of Amazon Ads platform changes, beta features, and emerging ad types to keep our product and customers at the cutting edge
- **Amazon Account & Listing Management**
- 1. Manage end-to-end Amazon Seller Central operations for customers, including account health, listing optimization, A+ Content, backend search terms, and Brand Analytics
- 2. Optimize product titles, bullet points, descriptions, and images for maximum discoverability and conversion, including for Amazon's AI shopping assistant Rufus
- 3. Troubleshoot catalog issues, suppressed ASINs, policy violations, and account health alerts
- 4. Advise customers on inventory strategy, pricing, promotions, and new product launches
- **Customer Engagement & Growth**
- 1. Lead customer demo calls and product walkthroughs for prospective and existing customers
- 2. Serve as a trusted advisor to Amazon sellers and agency partners, translating their business challenges into actionable strategies
- 3. Conduct onboarding for new customers: audit their accounts, set up campaigns, and establish performance baselines
- 4. Gather customer feedback and pain points to directly inform product development and roadmap decisions
- 5. Support post-event lead follow-up and outreach from trade shows and industry events (ASGTG, Prosper Show, MDS Inspire, and others)
- **Prompt Engineering & AI Evaluation**
- 1. Write, iterate on, and refine prompts and decision logic that power Aakaar AI's agentic automation across advertising, listings, inventory, and reporting
- 2. Conduct rigorous human evaluation of AI agent outputs: assess quality, accuracy, and relevance of AI-generated recommendations, campaign actions, and listing content
- 3. Define evaluation criteria and scoring rubrics grounded in your Amazon domain expertise to ensure AI outputs meet the bar that real sellers expect
- 4. Identify failure modes, edge cases, and hallucinations in AI outputs and work closely with the engineering team to improve agent performance
- 5. Contribute to building evaluation datasets and golden sets that benchmark agent quality over time
- **Product Collaboration**
- 1. Partner with the engineering and product team to define, validate, and refine AI agent behaviors based on real-world Amazon expertise
- 2. Contribute to content creation: case studies, blog posts, LinkedIn thought leadership, and educational material for Amazon sellers
- **What We Are Looking For**
- Required
- 1. 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Amazon PPC campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display; DSP is a strong plus)
- 2. 5+ years of Amazon Seller Central experience including listing optimization, account health management, and catalog operations
- 3. Proven track record of managing multiple brands or client accounts at scale with measurable results (ACoS/TACoS improvements, revenue growth, profitability gains)
- 4. Deep knowledge of Amazon advertising KPIs, campaign structures, bidding strategies, keyword match types, and negative targeting
- 5.
Experience conducting customer-facing calls
- demos, onboarding, strategy reviews, and QBRs
- 6. Comfort working with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) and a willingness to learn prompt engineering, evaluation methodologies, and AI-assisted workflows
- 7. Ability to collaborate closely with engineers and product managers, translating seller workflows and pain points into clear product requirements
- 8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex strategies to non-technical stakeholders
- 9. Self-starter mentality with high ownership, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strongly Preferred
- 1. Experience working at an Amazon agency, Amazon SaaS platform, or managing your own Amazon private label brand
- 2. Experience managing brands end to end on other marketplaces (Walmart, Shopify, eBay, TikTok Shop) is a plus. Amazon depth is the must-have; other marketplace experience is nice to have
- 3. Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, or building AI-powered workflows for e-commerce or marketing use cases
- 4. Familiarity with Amazon Ads API, SP-API, or Brand Analytics data
- 5. Exposure to Amazon DSP campaign management
- 6. Understanding of inventory management, supply chain basics, and profitability reporting (P&L at the ASIN level)
- 7. Interest in AI agents, agentic automation, and how LLMs can be applied to operational decision-making in e-commerce
- 8. Interest in content creation and thought leadership in the Amazon seller ecosystem (LinkedIn, blogs, webinars)
- 9. Prior startup experience or a demonstrated ability to thrive with ambiguity and wear multiple hats
