  • **Role Overview**
  • Seraphina Therapeutics is seeking a strategic, data-driven lifecycle marketing strategist to aid in optimizing customer retention, subscription performance, and lifecycle revenue across our rapidly scaling direct-to-consumer business.
  • This role will serve as the strategist of subscription and retention strategy, with primary responsibility for maximizing customer lifetime value, repeat purchase behavior, subscription growth, and overall retention in Seraphina’s ecosystem.
  • While external partners currently support portions of executional email/SMS operations, this strategist will serve as the internal strategic architect responsible for performance insights, optimization strategy, promotional effectiveness, customer journey design, and business-driving lifecycle outcomes.
  • This individual must bring strong experience from high-growth DTC subscription businesses, ideally within nutraceuticals, consumer health, wellness, beauty, or skincare, and should be highly fluent in CRM marketing to support: subscriber retention & churn reduction, LTV optimization, onboarding and education, cross-sell & upsell initiatives.
  • **Primary Responsibilities**
  • **Lifecycle Strategy & Subscription Retention Leadership**
  • Mastery of data related to our subscription business (e.g., retention rates by channel, cohort performance over time, lifetime value trending, etc.)
  • Support lifecycle marketing strategy across customer acquisition-to-retention journey, with primary focus on:
  • Subscription growth
  • Churn reduction
  • Customer retention
  • Win-back/reactivation
  • LTV optimization
  • Repeat purchase acceleration
  • Help translate scientific education and brand storytelling into lifecycle strategies that improve customer understanding, trust, product adoption, and long-term retention.
  • Develop and continuously optimize customer segmentation, personalization, and retention frameworks
  • Partner closely with CRO to define lifecycle growth roadmap and strategic priorities
  • Analyze retention and subscription data to identify opportunities for improved business outcomes
  • Build testing strategies across offers, customer journeys, promotions, and retention programs
  • **Email/SMS Strategic Oversight**
  • Collaborate on strategy for lifecycle communication channels while external agency partners manage operational execution
  • Provide input into campaign priorities, automation opportunities, customer journey refinement, and segmentation improvements
  • Evaluate performance and make recommendations relative to:
  • Welcome flows
  • Subscription onboarding
  • Replenishment
  • Upsell/cross-sell
  • Churn prevention
  • Win-back campaigns
  • Partner with the B2B (Healthcare Professional) Team to build out flows and campaigns to drive signup, purchase and repurchase
  • Ensure channel performance aligns with broader retention and revenue goals
  • **Cross-Functional Revenue Growth**
  • Ensure lifecycle marketing strategy aligns with brand integrity, regulatory considerations, and long-term growth priorities
  • Help prepare lifecycle infrastructure for future omnichannel and retail complexity
  • **Performance Analytics & Reporting**
  • Establish and monitor KPIs such as:
  • Subscription retention
  • Churn rate
  • LTV
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Email/SMS attributed revenue
  • Offer conversion
  • AOV
  • Translate data into strategic recommendations and revenue-driving decisions
  • Build scalable reporting and lifecycle dashboards for executive visibility
  • **Ideal Candidate Profile**
  • **Required Experience**
  • 6–7 years of lifecycle, retention, or CRM marketing experience
  • Expertise in email marketing, proficient in best practices.

Experience in klaviyo is a plus

  • Experience required in Shopify/Shopify Analytics, Recharge and Fermat
  • Ability to plan and execute A/B tests on an ongoing basis
  • Proven success within high-growth DTC ecommerce businesses
  • Strong subscription business model expertise
  • Significant experience owning retention and LTV outcomes
  • Shopify ecosystem fluency
  • Experience managing agency/vendor relationships
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
  • Experience in consumer health, nutraceuticals, beauty, wellness, or adjacent categories strongly preferred
