  • **About REBEL**
  • REBEL is the first and largest tech platform transforming retail’s $1 trillion returns problem into a smarter, more sustainable model. As the only Certified B Corporation returns recommerce marketplace backed by top-tier investors, we’re leading the returns revolution—partnering with over 2,500 top brands to give shoppers unbeatable deals of up to 70% off on open-box products, while keeping millions of pounds of returns out of landfills every year.
  • REBEL is looking for a Retention & Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to execute retention strategy through email and SMS marketing. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, customer empathy, and technical execution come together to drive meaningful impact. You'll work within a fast-moving team that values execution over process and results over optics.
  • Please note this position requires employees to be in our Bay-Bloor office at least 2 days a week.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in Ontario.
  • This role reports to the Director of Retention Marketing.
  • **What you'll own:**
  • **Email and SMS execution, end to end.**
  • You'll be responsible for building, deploying, and optimizing campaigns and flows across email and SMS channels — with engagement, retention, and revenue metrics as your guiding north stars.
  • **Campaign execution and quality.**
  • From audience segmentation to content assembly, QA, and deployment, you'll own the end-to-end process with a sharp eye for detail. Every send should be accurate, on-brand, and strategically sound.
  • **Retention strategy support.**
  • You'll work closely with the Director of Retention Marketing to understand the broader retention strategy and translate it into effective channel execution — connecting customer data and behavioral signals to the right message at the right time.
  • **Platform management.**
  • You'll be the day-to-day owner of our email and SMS platforms (Klaviyo and Attentive or similar), managing flows, lists, segments, and deliverability health.
  • **Cross-functional collaboration.**
  • You'll partner with brand, merchandising, tech and data teams to bring campaigns to life — contributing ideas, flagging opportunities, and keeping execution moving across stakeholders.
  • **Technical excellence.**
  • You'll understand the technical foundations of email and SMS marketing — including deliverability, link tracking, compliance, and platform architecture — and use that knowledge to improve quality and performance.
  • **Testing and optimization.**
  • You'll support a structured approach to A/B or multivariable testing across subject lines, content, send times, and segments, using results to continuously improve performance.
  • **What you'll bring:**
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in email and SMS marketing, with a focus on campaign execution and lifecycle programs
  • Proficiency in Klaviyo and Attentive, or comparable enterprise-grade email and SMS platforms
  • Exceptional attention to detail — you catch errors before they go out, not after
  • Ability to read and interpret customer data and translate insights into actionable campaign decisions
  • Strong collaboration skills and a track record of working effectively across creative, product, and analytics teams
  • Solid understanding of the technical aspects of email and SMS marketing, including segmentation logic, flow architecture, deliverability best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with email design; familiarity with Canva or Figma is an asset but not required
  • A consumer-centric mindset — you think about the customer experience first and let that guide your decisions
  • Curiosity and a can-do attitude — you ask questions, try new things, and find solutions rather than blockers
  • Background in a scaling, fast-paced environment where independent execution and adaptability are essential
  • **Pay Transparency**
  • This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
  • Initial base salary range for this remote position = CAD $45,000-$75,000
