  • — built around how editorial content earns visibility in
  • **Google Discover**
  • and Google Search at scale. You'll own organic growth across our portfolio of ~25 content brands and turn a high-velocity, multi-brand content engine into a compounding organic growth channel.
  • Google Discover is our single biggest organic opportunity — and the hardest to master. You'll be the person who understands how content freshness, engagement signals, visual and thumbnail choices, and topical authority combine to win and hold Discover traffic, and how

  • and topical authority are built and defended through every algorithm update — especially in news and YMYL niches.

You'll operate like an owner

  • **What you'll do**
  • **Own the organic growth channel.**
  • Be fully accountable for organic search performance across our brand portfolio — Google Search, Google Discover, and emerging AI search surfaces — from strategy through execution.
  • **Win Google Discover and trend-driven traffic.**
  • Develop and own strategies to capture and sustain Discover traffic (a primary channel for content publishers), mastering the interplay of content freshness, engagement signals, visual/thumbnail optimization, and topical authority that drives it.
  • **Drive editorial content SEO and E-E-A-T.**
  • Partner with editorial teams to optimize the full content value chain — topic and story selection, content structure, on-page optimization, internal linking, and content refresh — building the topical authority and E-E-A-T signals that compound over time, especially in news and YMYL categories.
  • **Set a C-level strategy.**
  • Create and present a data-backed SEO roadmap that aligns with company-wide goals and secures leadership buy-in. Lead with a business mindset — beyond rankings, toward audience growth, engagement, and revenue.
  • **Analyze and iterate.**
  • Build a robust, multi-brand reporting framework, analyze performance data, and use insights to rapidly test and iterate on new strategies.
  • **Who you are**
  • **3+ years of hands-on SEO**
  • at a digital publisher, media brand, or high-volume content site, with a proven track record of directly driving traffic and revenue.
  • **You've directly grown a Google Discover channel**
  • and understand what drives visibility there.
