Advertising terms
Version 2026-07-31
These terms cover anything you pay us for: a directory listing, a Verified claim, promoted placement, or a job post. Buying any of them means you accept these terms as they stand on the day you buy.
> 1. What you are buying
You are buying an entry on this site, the ability to control what it says, and in some cases a promoted position and a post to our social audience. You are not buying a guaranteed amount of traffic, a guaranteed number of enquiries, a search ranking, or any particular outcome in an AI assistant.
We are cited by AI answer engines, and an accurate listing here is a more accurate source for anything that reads us. We cannot control when or whether any model updates what it says about you, and we do not promise that it will.
> 2. Editorial control stays with us
Paying does not buy a listing on its own. Everything is reviewed before it publishes, and we will decline anything that is not genuinely relevant to ecommerce operators, does not work, or misrepresents itself. If we decline before publishing, we refund you.
We write our own editorial description of your product. You can publish your own copy alongside it, clearly attributed to you, but you cannot replace or edit ours.
Paid placement never affects our comparisons, feature matrices, search results or any ranked editorial judgement. Promoted slots sit in labelled positions outside the organic order, and we cap them so organic results always stay visible.
> 3. Your content, and what you promise us
You keep ownership of everything you supply. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on this site and in our social posts and newsletters for as long as your listing is live, and to keep it after that only so we can restore it if you come back.
You confirm you have the right to supply it, that it is accurate and not misleading, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Do not upload someone else’s logo or a competitor’s material.
We may edit, decline, remove or downgrade anything that breaches these terms, misleads readers, or brings the site into disrepute. If we remove something for a breach, no refund is due.
> 4. Claiming a listing
To claim a listing you must prove you control an email address, and we check whether that address belongs to the product’s own domain. A domain match verifies you immediately; anything else we review by hand and may refuse.
One listing has one owner. If ownership is disputed, or a product changes hands, email us and we will decide who controls the listing. We may reassign or suspend a claim where we have good reason to.
> 5. Billing, renewal and cancellation
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown when you bought them, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your listing stays live until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then reverts to a normal unpaid listing.
The first-year price for Verified includes a one-off activation fee. Renewals are the lower annual price shown at checkout.
We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you before a renewal at a new price, and you can cancel instead.
> 6. Job posts
A job post runs for the period stated at checkout from the day it publishes. We may decline a role that is not an ecommerce role, is not a real vacancy, or is posted by someone other than the employer or their appointed recruiter.
Expired paid roles stay reachable at their original address, marked as closed, rather than disappearing.
> 7. Links and disclosure
Promoted placements are labelled. Where we earn a commission on a link we mark it as sponsored. We follow search engine guidance on paid links and will change how a link is marked if that guidance changes, without that being a change to what you bought.
> 8. Liability
We provide this service as it is. We do not exclude liability for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses.
You agree to cover us against claims arising from content you supplied being inaccurate, misleading or infringing.
