- **About Breville**
- Over the past 90+ years Breville has grown to become an iconic global brand, delivering kitchen products to over 70 countries around the globe. Breville enhances people's lives through the delivery of brilliant innovation and thoughtful design based on deep consumer insights, empowering people to do things more impressively or easily than they'd thought possible in their own home and ultimately allowing them to "Master Every Moment".
- BRG operates eight consumer brands - Breville, Sage, ChefSteps, Baratza, Lelit, and others - across 15+ markets through commerce platforms built for a pre-AI world. Discovery, purchase and service journeys need to work differently. We're looking for someone who has led this kind of transformation at scale and is excited to apply that experience across a broader, more complex landscape.
- What You'll Own
- Product strategy and execution for BRG's consumer-facing digital platforms: web, commerce, and the AI capabilities embedded across them. Your roadmap decisions directly affect conversion, AOV, retention and cost-to-serve across a combined platform at up to $150M in annual revenue influence.
- This is a highly outcome-driven role with clear accountability for commercial performance and customer experience.
- What Success Looks Like
- **At 6 months**
- 1. Executive-aligned digital strategy and AI roadmap with clear baselines, measurable targets, and defined investment priorities - endorsed by senior leadership
- 2. Shared platform components live across at least three brand storefronts, with measurable improvement in delivery velocity
- 3. Delivery of AI-enabled customer experience features with measurable impact on key metrics (e.g., conversion, engagement, or service efficiency)
- **At 12 months**
- 1. Demonstrable commercial attribution across conversion, AOV and retention
- 2. Internal AI productivity gains (experimentation, QA, decisioning) measured and reported
- 3. Responsible AI governance embedded: monitoring, safeguards, vendor standards, and accountability model in place
- What You'll Do
- 1. Set the product vision for BRG's customer-facing digital platforms in an increasingly AI-enabled landscape - across discovery, purchase and service
- 2. Build and execute a sequenced AI product roadmap with clear build/buy/partner decisions and input into capex/opex allocation, including vendor and partner evaluation and selection across the AI and commerce ecosystem
- 3. Define and drive product direction for composable digital services built on MACH architecture (Contentful, Commerce Tools and appropriate headless services) - and the AI capabilities layered across them
- 4. Own the experimentation framework, analytics instrumentation and AI-specific monitoring strategy
- 5. Partner with the Director of PMO to lead the digital product team through an AI transformation - embedding new ways of working and building strong AI fluency across the function
- 6. Lead and develop a team of ~6 squads, with operating rhythm and PM standards as a foundation for high performance in an AI-era product function
- 7. Navigate executive stakeholder priorities across brands, balancing platform trade-offs and commercial objectives
- 8. Partner with Security, Legal, Privacy and Risk on governance, vendor evaluation and guardrails
- What This Role Is Not
- This role focuses on platform and product strategy and does not directly own content creation, SEO execution, or marketing campaign delivery. You will be a meaningful partner to those functions and will influence how content is built for AI-era discovery. Accountability for those outcomes sits with brand and marketing leads.
- Experience and Capability
- Required
- 1. Senior product leadership across digital commerce platforms at scale - multi-brand or multi-market experience strongly preferred
- 2. Has led a team through a major platform consolidation or replatform - with direct accountability for delivery, adoption and outcome measurement
- 3. Demonstrated commercial outcomes such as conversion uplift, revenue growth, or cost-to-serve improvement, supported by measurable results
- 4. Shipped AI-enabled customer experiences or internal AI tooling with real governance, measurement and adoption
- 5. Practical technical fluency, including hands-on experience with AI tools and close collaboration with engineering teams
- 6. Vendor and partner evaluation experience at scale - selecting and managing AI and commerce platform vendors, and driving build/buy/partner decisions
- 7. Executive stakeholder management experience across competing priorities, trade-offs and matrixed decision-making
- 8. Experience leading globally distributed product teams
- Strongly Preferred
- 1. Hands-on GenAI and LLM product experience: assistants, agents, RAG patterns, evaluation and monitoring infrastructure
- 2. Familiarity with MACH architecture and composable commerce stacks - Contentful, Commerce Tools and headless services
- 3. Digital discovery strategy in an AI-influenced search environment
- 4. Experience operating across multiple brand properties with shared platform infrastructure
- Where BRG Is
- This is the first phase of a deliberate, organisation-wide AI transformation. Foundations are being built - use cases are being prioritised, and governance frameworks are being established. The ambition is not incremental: we intend to be an industry leader in AI-enabled consumer experiences within two years.
- This role is best suited for someone motivated to lead through transformation and shape what comes next.
