- **Job Summary**
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven E-Commerce Team Lead to drive merchant acquisition, onboarding, and portfolio growth for our payment platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Merchant Acquisition Executives, developing strategies to attract and onboard e-commerce merchants, and ensuring the team consistently achieves acquisition and revenue targets.
- The role requires a strong blend of sales leadership, relationship management, business development, and operational oversight to grow the platform’s merchant network and strengthen market presence.
- **Key Responsibilities**
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, supervise, and motivate the merchant acquisition and onboarding team.
- Set individual and team performance targets and monitor achievement against KPIs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and training programs.
- Develop action plans to improve team productivity and merchant acquisition performance.
- Foster a high-performance and customer-centric culture within the team.
- Merchant Acquisition & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategies to identify, attract, and acquire new e-commerce merchants.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective merchants across various industries.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and emerging merchant segments.
- Negotiate commercial terms and partnership agreements with prospective merchants.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and business meetings.
- Merchant Onboarding & Relationship Management
- Oversee the end-to-end merchant onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience.
- Ensure all merchant documentation, compliance, and KYC requirements are completed accurately.
- Collaborate with Operations, Compliance, Product, and Technology teams to facilitate successful merchant activation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchant partners.
- Address escalated merchant concerns and ensure timely resolution.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track merchant acquisition, activation, and retention metrics.
- Analyze team performance and provide regular reports to management.
- Monitor sales pipelines and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop initiatives to improve merchant engagement, activation, and transaction volumes.
- **Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in merchant acquisition, sales, business development, or e-commerce.
- At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising a sales, merchant acquisition, or business development team.
- Experience within fintech, payments, digital banking, e-commerce, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of payment solutions, merchant acquiring, and e-commerce ecosystems.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding acquisition and revenue targets.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
