  • We are a lean, fast-moving e-commerce company selling through Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon, wholesale, affiliates, influencers, and other channels. We move quickly, test constantly, and value ownership, initiative, and measurable results.
  • **About the Role**
  • We are looking for a
  • **Creative Paid Media Strategist**

  • You will connect marketing, creative, paid media, copywriting, website conversion, and customer psychology. You will guide strategy, develop ideas, identify what is working and what is not, and turn products, customer problems, and business goals into creative that drives attention, clicks, conversions, and revenue.
  • You need to recognize strong creative, identify what is missing, explain how to improve it, and execute when necessary instead of simply delegating.
  • **Your Primary Mission**
  • Turn products, customer insights, marketing goals, and performance data into creative strategies that capture attention, communicate value, create desire, and drive measurable e-commerce growth.
  • **Customer Insight → Strategy → Concept → Copy → Production → Launch → Analysis → Optimization.**
  • **What You Will Do**
  • **1) Paid Media Creative Strategy**
  • Develop creative strategies for Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Google, and other relevant platforms.
  • Identify marketing angles for products, promotions, launches, and customer segments.
  • Develop concepts based on customer pain points, product benefits, offers, and business goals.
  • Create briefs outlining the target customer, hook, message, visual direction, and desired action.
  • Recommend the footage, visuals, copy, demonstrations, and assets needed to execute each concept.
  • Develop variations to test hooks, angles, messages, formats, and calls to action.
  • Review ads and identify opportunities to improve attention, engagement, and conversion.
  • **2) Creative Concepts, Hooks & Angles**
  • Develop concepts based on customer behavior, product benefits, trends, and performance data.
  • Create different marketing angles based on customer motivations.
  • Develop hooks that create curiosity, communicate a problem, generate emotion, or introduce a compelling benefit.
  • Create educational, lifestyle, emotional, comparison, demonstration, and direct-response concepts.
  • Turn reviews, complaints, questions, and objections into creative opportunities.
  • Research competitors and identify creative gaps and opportunities.
  • Continuously bring new ideas to the team.
  • **3) Copywriting & Marketing Messaging**
  • Develop and improve paid ad copy, video hooks, on-screen text, headlines, and calls to action.
  • Turn product features into clear customer-focused benefits.
  • Create messaging that addresses customer objections, frustrations, desires, and reasons not to purchase.
  • Identify when copy is vague, generic, unclear, or focused only on product features.
  • Write or improve product, promotional, landing page, email, SMS, and campaign messaging.
  • Develop messaging variations to test different motivations, benefits, emotional appeals, urgency, and calls to action.
  • **4) Video & Visual Creative Direction**
  • Review video concepts and edits to determine whether they communicate the intended marketing message.
  • Evaluate whether the opening seconds capture attention and encourage continued viewing.
  • Guide editors on hooks, pacing, storytelling, messaging, product demonstrations, and calls to action.
  • Identify when a video looks polished but does not communicate a clear problem, benefit, or reason to purchase.
  • Provide specific feedback explaining what should change and why.
  • Recommend the footage, visuals, sound, text, and creative elements needed.
  • Direct UGC-style, influencer-style, product-focused, founder-led, educational, and direct-response creative.
  • **5) Website & Landing Page Conversion**
  • Review the customer journey from advertisement to landing page, product page, and checkout to identify conversion problems.
  • Identify disconnects between advertising messages and the experience customers receive after clicking.
  • Recommend improvements to headlines, product messaging, visuals, demonstrations, page structure, and calls to action.
  • Make product benefits, features, use cases, and solutions clearer.
  • Recommend A/B tests for copy, imagery, videos, product positioning, and calls to action.
  • Identify customer objections that are not clearly addressed on the website.
  • **6) Email, SMS & Lifecycle Marketing**
  • Develop creative concepts for promotional emails, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and retention initiatives.
  • Review messaging to ensure customers understand the offer, product benefit, and reason to act.
  • Write or improve subject lines, headlines, body copy, calls to action, and promotional messaging.
  • Develop messaging for welcome, abandoned cart, retention, product education, and promotional campaigns.
  • Align email and SMS messaging with paid media, website, and broader campaign strategy.
  • Use customer pain points, benefits, reviews, and objections to develop stronger lifecycle marketing.
  • **7) Performance & Creative Testing**
  • Analyze CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, retention, watch time, thumb-stop rate, engagement, and revenue.
  • Identify which hooks, messaging angles, benefits, visuals, and formats perform best.
  • Translate performance data into recommendations for future creatives.
  • Develop tests for hooks, messaging, visual styles, video structures, offers, and calls to action.
  • Identify which concepts should be scaled, improved, retested, or discontinued.
  • **8) Research & Marketing Opportunities**
  • Research reviews, complaints, questions, comments, and customer service conversations for creative insights.
  • Identify recurring customer problems, frustrations, desires, objections, and purchasing motivations.
  • Analyze competitor advertising, messaging, and creative strategies.
  • Research relevant advertising, consumer, cultural, and platform trends.
  • Use research to develop new hooks, angles, product messaging, and campaign concepts.
  • **9) Campaigns & Product Launches**
  • Develop creative strategies for product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and major initiatives.
  • Define the target customer, problem, product benefit, and primary marketing message.
  • Develop campaign concepts, creative angles, hooks, copy, and visual direction.
  • Determine the assets required across advertising, website, email, SMS, and social media.
  • Review campaign performance and identify improvements for future launches.
  • **10) Creative Systems & Execution**
  • Create and maintain creative briefs, testing frameworks, playbooks, templates, and repeatable processes.
  • Organize creative concepts, footage, project files, final assets, and performance data.
  • Improve the speed and quality of creative testing and iteration.
  • Write copy, develop concepts, create briefs, and execute marketing projects when necessary.
  • Own projects from idea through execution, launch, analysis, and optimization.
  • This is a many-hats role on a lean team, so you'll also jump in on other creative, design, and marketing projects as needed.
  • **What We're Looking For**
  • 3+ years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, growth marketing, e-commerce marketing, direct-response advertising, copywriting, or a related field.
  • Experience connecting creative strategy to measurable business results.
  • Strong understanding of customer psychology, hooks, messaging, storytelling, and conversion.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal English.
  • Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and take ownership.
  • Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Willingness to execute personally rather than simply delegate.
