- Scope:
- The Ecommerce Specialist is responsible for creating, processing, and picking orders. Additionally, the Ecommerce Specialist is also responsible for transporting Heartland FPG samples between departments and general interoffice mail couriering.
- Essential Duties and Key
Responsibilities
- Knowledge or ability to learn UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, & other online portals to fulfill order demands
- Promote safety and conduct him/herself in accordance with all safety guidelines at all times
- Prepare documents, such as bills of lading, delivery notes/packing list, and or shipping labels
- Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to enter and process orders
- Review orders to ensure inventory is accurate
- Update product location and pick product via R/F scanner
- Update all outbound orders with freight quotes, using various carriers’ websites
- Prepare international shipping documents
- Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
- Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines
- Able to complete monthly and annual cycle counts and understand and can perform basic inventory control processes/procedures
- Must be able travel to and from Plant, DC, corporate office, and anywhere else the sample orders are needed
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Shipping or related experience preferred
- UPS/FedEx/USPS online shipping experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications with proficiency in MS Excel
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and exhibit attention to detail
- Able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
- Possess basic reasoning and problem solving skills
- Have the ability to work independently and with a team within a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate and promote teamwork on a consistent basis
- Physical Demands:
- Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to work seated using a computer and phone for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend
- Must possess visual acuity to document company records
- Continuous walking throughout plant and distribution center
- Lifting up to 40 pounds
- Monday - Friday; 8am to 4:30pm
