- **Role Description**
- This is a full-time remote role for a Lead Shopify Developer with 5+ years of experience. This is a hands-on leadership position - you'll be writing code alongside the team, not just directing it. You'll oversee Shopify development projects, build user-centric web experiences from design through to launch, optimise site performance, and ensure the seamless integration of third-party tools and applications.
- As Lead, you're responsible for the team's output: continuously raising the bar on quality and finding ways to ship faster without cutting corners. Alongside that technical leadership, you'll also manage the team day-to-day - mentoring developers, maintaining coding standards, supporting their growth, and being accountable for their performance.
- A core part of the role is leading our adoption of AI on the Shopify platform - evaluating tools, building AI-assisted development workflows, and embedding AI into how we scope, design, build, and ship Shopify projects. Staying ahead of new Shopify features, AI capabilities, and emerging best practice is part of the job.
