- Position Overview
- The Lifecycle Marketing Manager owns the design, evolution, and performance of participant-centric lifecycle marketing strategies across the workplace benefits journey. This role defines lifecycle frameworks, segmentation strategies, and engagement models that drive measurable improvements in participant behavior, financial outcomes, and plan sponsor value.
- As a senior individual contributor, you will lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Analytics, Growth Marketing, Campaign Delivery, and Relationship teams to embed lifecycle thinking into participant experiences and digital platforms. This role operates as a strategic partner, shaping roadmaps, influencing priorities, and ensuring lifecycle programs are scalable, data-driven, and compliant within a regulated financial services environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy for workplace participants, including lifecycle frameworks, journey architecture, and engagement models.
- Lead the design of state-based lifecycle journeys across key milestones such as onboarding, enrollment, contribution optimization, job changes, and retirement readiness, ensuring alignment with participant needs and business objectives.
- Develop and evolve segmentation and personalization strategies using behavioral, demographic, and financial data to deliver relevant experiences at scale.
- Partner with Product and Digital teams to embed lifecycle journeys into participant-facing platforms and influence feature prioritization and experience design.
- Drive multi-channel orchestration across email, web, mobile, and advisor-supported channels to create cohesive participant experiences.
- Define lifecycle performance measurement frameworks and KPIs tied to plan engagement, digital tool adoption, content engagement, advice utilization, and improved financial outcomes.
- Lead test-and-learn initiatives by creating experimentation roadmaps and scaling successful lifecycle strategies.
- Translate data insights into strategic recommendations and influence senior stakeholders on optimization opportunities.
- Serve as the lifecycle marketing subject matter expert, promoting best practices and elevating team capabilities.
- Ensure lifecycle marketing programs comply with legal, regulatory, and client requirements by partnering with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams.
- Collaborate across Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Relationship Management to ensure successful execution of lifecycle initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance lifecycle documentation, including journey maps, segmentation frameworks, and strategic playbooks.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8–12+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or engagement marketing, preferably within financial services or workplace benefits.
- Experience supporting participant engagement in employer-sponsored benefit plans such as retirement plans, HSAs, or equity plans.
- Proven success owning lifecycle marketing strategies that drive measurable business outcomes, including engagement, retention, and contribution rates.
- Deep expertise in customer journey design, segmentation, personalization, and multi-channel marketing.
- Strong analytical skills with experience developing measurement frameworks and translating insights into strategic action.
- Experience partnering with Product teams to integrate marketing strategies into digital experiences.
- Advanced proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation and CRM platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization without direct authority.
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working in regulated industries with Legal, Compliance, and Risk stakeholders.
