- A well-funded consumer lifestyle brand is entering an exciting new phase of growth following a successful soft launch, with a hard launch planned for later this year. Backed by strong momentum and an ambitious founding team, the business is now building the in-house marketing capability needed to support rapid scale.
- We are
- **6AM Digital**
- the recruitment partner supporting their next phase of growth.
- This experienced Performance Marketing Manager role is a key commercial hire and a rare opportunity to take real ownership of performance marketing at a pivotal stage of the business journey. You will report directly to the CMO, work closely with senior leadership, and play a central role in shaping how the brand acquires, converts and retains customers as it grows.
- The role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution and commercial performance. You will take over from external consultants during the transition period, with the goal of successfully bringing the performance function fully in-house and building a high-performing growth engine for the long term.
- **The role**
- As Performance Marketing Manager, you will own performance marketing across acquisition, retention and lifecycle. You will be responsible for driving efficient growth across paid channels, improving customer lifetime value, and ensuring every investment decision is grounded in data, commercial thinking and measurable outcomes.
- This is a hands-on role with strategic influence. You will own the paid media and lifecycle performance agenda, while working closely with internal colleagues across digital, creative, content and brand to continuously test and improve outcomes.
- You will not be managing agencies. Instead, you will work alongside external specialist partners during the transition period, while helping to build the long-term internal structure of the performance function as the business scales.
- **What you will own**
- Full ownership of performance marketing strategy, budgeting and investment decisions across acquisition and retention
- Transitioning the performance function fully in-house following consultant handover
- Driving profitable growth by improving CAC, ROAS, MER, contribution margin and overall marketing efficiency
- Leading performance across paid social, paid search and lifecycle channels, with exposure to Meta, Google, TikTok, and Pinterest
- Using analytics, including GA4, platform insights and broader modelling input, to improve full-funnel decision-making
- Shaping channel-specific storytelling that aligns with audience behaviour and customer journeys
- Playing a strong role in creative strategy for paid channels, working closely with creative and content teams to test messaging, creative formats and conversion pathways
- Leading lifecycle marketing to maximise customer lifetime value and repeat purchase behaviour
- Partnering closely with internal stakeholders across merchandising, operations, brand, ecommerce, design and social to ensure strong campaign execution
- Championing structured test-and-learn frameworks across digital activity to drive both conversion and brand consideration
- Contributing to the future growth structure of the performance marketing function as the business continues to scale
- **The team and environment**
- You will be supported by a growing internal team that includes a Digital Marketing Coordinator, Digital Designer and Social Media Specialist, creating a strong collaborative environment for performance, creative and content execution.
- The business operates through a Shopify website, and experience in that environment will be highly regarded.
- This is an on-site role in a talented, collaborative and driven team. The culture is ambitious but grounded, with strong momentum, a clear sense of ownership and a genuine focus on building something meaningful.
- **What success looks like**
- You will play a central role in building the company’s growth engine during a pivotal stage of expansion. Success in this role will come from successfully transitioning the performance marketing function fully in-house following the consultant handover, scaling profitable customer acquisition, improving lifecycle performance, and helping establish a high-performing marketing capability that can support rapid year-on-year growth.
- **What we are looking for**
- 6 to 9 plus years’ experience in performance marketing, ideally within e-commerce, DTC or consumer-led brands such as fashion, beauty, home, furniture or luxury
- Strong experience across paid social, paid search and lifecycle channels, with hands-on exposure to Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok highly regarded
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to link marketing investment to profit, revenue and growth outcomes
- Confidence working with data, dashboards, forecasting and customer insights
- Experience with GA4, platform reporting and performance analysis tools
- Experience working closely with merchandising, operations, brand, ecommerce and design teams
- Strong understanding of GTM calendars, product launches, promotional strategy and trading dynamics
- A data-led mindset with the ability to ask the right questions and turn insight into action
- Leadership experience, with the ability to support, develop and drive performance across a small team as the function grows
- **Why this role**
- This is an opportunity to build the performance engine of a brand at a pivotal stage of growth, with the freedom to influence strategy, creative direction and customer acquisition from the ground up.
- You will be one of the key commercial hires in the business, working closely with senior leadership to shape how the brand scales over the next phase of growth.
- If you are looking for a role where you can combine commercial ownership, creative influence and genuine growth opportunity, this is one worth exploring.
- Work style
- Fully on-site, working alongside a collaborative team based in the office to drive progress, stay closely aligned and celebrate shared wins.
- Potential for one day per week working from home to be introduced in the future.
- Standard working hours that support a healthy work-life balance, with no overwork culture
- Collaborative and outcome-focused
- Clear, considered communication is important
- Autonomy is trusted and expected
- **Recruitment process**
- 2-stage interview process
- Support, transparency and thoughtful feedback throughout
- **Please note**
- Full working rights in Australia are required
- No visa sponsorship is available
- This is an on-site role with no hybrid or remote option
- *Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you have not heard back within 5 business days, unfortunately, you have not been successful on this occasion.*
