- **CLIENT BACKGROUND**
- Our client is a growing financial services firm that helps consumer and e-commerce brands gain greater financial clarity and confidence in making business decisions. They primarily work with businesses generating between $3M and $40M in revenue, supporting them with accurate accounting, meaningful reporting, and financial insights that help business owners understand what is happening in their business.
- Their clients include DTC, B2B wholesale, e-commerce, CPG, and service-based businesses. Rather than simply delivering financial reports, the team focuses on organizing financial information in a way that is clear, practical, and easy for decision-makers to understand and act on.

- **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- Manage the end-to-end accounting process for a portfolio of approximately 3 to 4 client accounts.
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records using full-accrual accounting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring financial information is accurate, clear, and useful for decision-making.
- Organize and maintain charts of accounts, including clear revenue and COGS categorization.
- Handle inventory accounting and understand the relationship between inventory and COGS, including FIFO and weighted-average inventory methods.
- Monitor and track key financial metrics and business activities to help assess the financial health of each client.
- Support and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts using established templates and processes, while working with clients to gather relevant sales and operational information.
- Process and record payroll-related transactions and maintain awareness of payroll activities across platforms such as ADP and Gusto.
- Assist with sales tax-related tasks, with training and support provided as needed.
- Prepare and support 1099 reporting and filing requirements.
- Drive the majority of the monthly close process, with support from the Controller for review, quality control, and additional financial insight.
- Communicate directly with clients primarily through email and chat, with occasional calls as needed.
- Present and explain financial information in a simple, clear, and practical way rather than simply providing large spreadsheets or complex reports.
- Collaborate with Controllers, Client Services, and other team members to ensure client needs, deliverables, and deadlines are met.
- Learn and adapt to new systems, tools, and client platforms, including AI tools such as Claude for reporting and financial analysis.
- Handle other accounting-related tasks as needed to support clients and the team.
- **TECH STACK**

- **QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, with 4–5 years of US accounting experience, ideally gained from a US accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-accrual accounting, with hands-on experience in end-to-end accounting, including AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
- QuickBooks Online experience is required, with familiarity with Xero, Double, and A2X considered a plus.
Experience with adp and gusto is also an advantage
- Inventory accounting experience is highly preferred, with a solid understanding of inventory-to-COGS treatment and FIFO and weighted-average inventory methods (

- Experience supporting e-commerce, CPG, wholesale/distribution, retail, manufacturing, or other inventory-based businesses is a strong advantage.
- Experience with cash flow forecasting is a plus; willingness to learn sales tax processes and new accounting tools is important.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with clients through email, chat, and occasional calls.
- Highly detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-focused, with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and use tools such as AI for accounting and financial reporting.
