- RocketCart is looking for an E-commerce Developer to help build the next generation of automated e-commerce software. You'll develop apps, plugins, extensions and integrations for leading e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento (Adobe Commerce), Shopware and others.
- You'll work on products that directly help online stores recover more revenue through intelligent automation, seamless integrations and exceptional user experience.

- Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Shopify Apps, WooCommerce plugins and other e-commerce extensions.
- Build integrations with e-commerce platforms, marketing tools and third-party APIs.
- Design scalable backend services that support thousands of online stores.
- Develop secure APIs and webhooks.
- Improve application performance, scalability and reliability.
- Create intuitive merchant dashboards and administration interfaces.
- Collaborate with product, design and marketing teams on new features.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical roadmap.
- Monitor platform updates and ensure compatibility with new platform releases.
- Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code.
- Qualifications
- Required
- Experience developing software for one or more e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento (Adobe Commerce), Shopware or BigCommerce.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and
Css
- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL and webhooks.
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
- Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Nice to have
Experience building public shopify apps
- Experience developing WordPress or WooCommerce plugins.
- Experience with Node.js or modern JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and docker
- Experience with payment gateways and e-commerce APIs.
- Familiarity with conversion optimisation or digital marketing technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
