- **About the role**
- As an Ecommerce Marketing Growth Manager at Doo Digital, you own the growth of a portfolio of ecommerce clients. You sit between the client and our specialist teams - performance marketing, design, tech and SEO - turning each client’s commercial goals into a clear plan of action, then coordinating the right people to deliver it.
- This is a coordination and strategy role, not a delivery one. The execution is done by our specialist teams; your job is to understand each discipline well enough to brief it, direct it, judge the quality of the work, and keep everything pointing at one thing - the client’s growth. You’re also the face of Doo Digital to your clients: leading meetings, presenting results, and building the trust that grows accounts.
- **Cross-department knowledge**
- *You need a strong working understanding of all four delivery areas — enough to lead, brief and quality-check each one. You won’t be executing the work yourself; the specialist teams do that. Your value is knowing each area well enough to coordinate it and hold it accountable.*
- **Department**
- What you need to understand
- **Performance Marketing**
- How paid media works across Meta, Google, TikTok etc. — enough to set targets, read ROAS/CAC/MER, spot what’s working, and direct the buyers.
- **Design / Creative**
- What good, on-brand, conversion-led creative looks like — so you can brief designers clearly and give useful feedback on ads, landing pages and emails.
- **Tech / Development**
- The ecommerce stack (Shopify, tracking, GA4, integrations) at a conceptual level — enough to scope what’s needed, brief developers, and translate between client and tech team.
- **SEO**
- How technical, on-page and content SEO drive growth — enough to shape the roadmap, prioritise with the SEO team, and tie it back to revenue.
- **Key responsibilities**
- **Strategy & planning**
- Build the growth strategy and plan of action (POA) for each client - mapping goals to channels, budgets, timelines and owners.
- Set clear targets with the teams and prioritise the work that moves them.
- Spot opportunities and risks across the funnel and turn them into a clear plan.
- **Cross-team coordination**
- Brief and coordinate performance marketing, design, tech and SEO so every workstream is aligned and on schedule.
- Run the cadence - kick-offs, stand-ups, reviews - keeping teams unblocked and accountable.
- Quality-check each team’s output against the brief before it reaches the client.
- **Client management**
- Own the client relationship as their main point of contact - proactive, responsive and trusted.
- Lead regular calls and reviews; manage expectations, scope and timelines confidently.
- Identify upsell and account-growth opportunities and make the case for them.
- **Reporting & presentation**
- Build clear, insight-led reports and presentations that explain performance and the “so what”, not just the numbers.
- Present results and recommendations to clients in a way that drives decisions.
- **What we’re looking for**
- **Experience**
- 2–4 years in ecommerce marketing, growth or account management - ideally agency-side or managing multiple brands/channels.
- A track record of growing ecommerce revenue and managing client relationships.
- Broad exposure across paid media, creative, web/tech and
Seo
- **Skills**
- Strong working knowledge across performance marketing, design, ecommerce tech and SEO - enough to brief and direct each.
- Excellent coordination and project management - you keep multiple teams and deadlines moving.
- Confident, polished client-facing communication - meetings, presentations and difficult conversations.
- Comfortable reading data (GA4, ad platforms, Ahrefs/GSC) and turning it into reports and decks.
- Confident using AI tools (such as Claude) to make processes more efficient - speeding up research, reporting, briefing, content and day-to-day workflows.
- Commercially sharp - you tie every activity back to client growth.
- **Mindset**
- Owns outcomes, not tasks - responsible for results delivered through the team.
- Organised, proactive and calm across competing priorities.
- Curious and a fast learner across disciplines.
