- **About the Role**
- We're looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own the customer journey from first purchase through long-term retention. This role is responsible for all customer contact points across various channels and customer journeys. This includes email, SMS, push, and in-app messaging, direct mail, inserts, and social media. Consumers are entering the marketing ecosystem through a variety of channels (ecommerce, membership, podcasts) and this role is responsible for building the systems and strategies that turn one-time buyers into loyal, high-LTV customers. This also includes management of the subscription program. You'll partner closely with acquisition, brand, product, content and data teams to design a cohesive experience across every touchpoint after the click.
- **What You'll Do**
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging, direct mail, inserts and social media
- Coordinate with acquisition channels that include customers via ecommerce, membership program, podcasts and other front end engagement centers
- Design, build, and optimize automated flows including welcome series, post-purchase, replenishment/subscription, win-back, and loyalty programs
- Develop and manage a segmentation strategy based on behavioral, transactional, and demographic data (RFM, cohort analysis, predictive LTV)
- Partner with data/analytics teams to define, track, and report on key lifecycle KPIs: retention rate, repeat purchase rate, LTV, churn, subscription retention, and campaign-level performance
- Lead A/B and multivariate testing programs across messaging, timing, offers, and creative to continuously improve performance
- Collaborate with creative and brand teams to ensure lifecycle communications reflect brand voice while driving measurable results
- Collaborate with editorial team to ensure all communications are in alignment with appropriate protocols and product recommendations
- Manage and optimize the ESP/CRM platform (e.g., Klaviyo) including deliverability, list health, and compliance
- Manage and optimize the subscription program (OrderGroove) in connection with Klaviyo
- Build and maintain a testing and learning roadmap, translating insights into scalable playbooks
- Forecast and report on lifecycle channel revenue contribution to leadership
- Manage a lifecycle calendar in coordination with promotional, product launch, and seasonal campaigns across ecommerce, membership and podcast customer funnels
- Mentor and manage junior lifecycle/CRM marketers and agency partners, if applicable
- Stay current on platform capabilities, deliverability best practices, and industry trends in retention marketing
- **What You'll Bring**
- 8+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing, ideally within DTC, e-commerce, or subscription businesses
- Proven track record of building and scaling automated lifecycle programs that drive measurable revenue and retention impact
- Deep hands-on experience with a major ESP/CRM platform (Klaviyo experience prefered)
- Knowledgeable on subscription lifecycle marketing and platform experience (OrderGroove, Recharge, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working in Excel/Sheets, and ability to communicate results analysis to senior management team
- Experience with segmentation, cohort analysis, and predictive modeling concepts (LTV, churn risk, RFM)
- Working knowledge of email deliverability fundamentals and compliance requirements
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple flows, tests, and campaigns simultaneously
- Strong collaborator who can work cross-functionally with creative, brand, product, and data teams
- A test-and-learn mindset paired with strong business judgment about what's worth testing
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Background in consumer products categories such as supplements, health/wellness or beauty is a nice to have
- **What Success Looks Like**
- Measurable improvement in repeat purchase rate and customer LTV within the first 6–12 months
- A documented, scalable flow architecture with clear testing roadmap and results
- Lifecycle channels (email/SMS/push) contributing a growing share of total revenue
- Clean, compliant, well-segmented list with strong deliverability metrics
