- We are hiring a Senior Product Manager- Ecommerce to own and grow Dutch’s e-commerce business — spanning both prescription and non-prescription products
- This is a senior role with broad scope: you will set the strategy, identify the highest-value opportunities, determine what it takes to deliver on them, and work collaboratively across the organization to make it happen
- You will have enormous latitude to define what this business becomes
- You are a natural opportunity-spotter: you see gaps in the market, ask what it would take to capture them, and rally the right people to get it done
- You will also lead the complete reimagination of our product storefront — a greenfield effort that requires deep ecommerce expertise, strong commercial instincts, and tight collaboration with design, product management, and engineering
- Our unfair advantage is our data
- Dutch’s EMR and vet-issued recommendations give us unparalleled insight into what individual pets need — spanning everything from prescription medications to everyday wellness products — enabling a personalization engine no traditional pet retailer can replicate
- You will work closely with our AI team to translate that data advantage into highly relevant, high-converting product and prescription recommendations for every pet parent on our platform
- Own the full P&L for Dutch’s ecommerce business — across both prescription and non-prescription products — setting targets, tracking performance, and driving accountability across revenue, margin, and profitability
- Proactively identify the highest-value opportunities for product sales — assessing market signals, platform data, and customer needs — then determine what is required to pursue them and drive cross-functional execution to deliver
- Define and evolve the product assortment strategy across both prescription and OTC categories — balancing pet-health relevance, commercial potential, and brand trust
- Monitor market trends, competitor moves, and emerging product categories to keep Dutch ahead of the curve
- Partner deeply with Dutch’s AI team to build a personalized product recommendation engine grounded in our EMR data and vet-issued insights — creating experiences no traditional retailer can match
- Define the data inputs, recommendation logic, and feedback loops needed to surface the right products to the right pet parents at the right moment
- Champion a data-first culture across the commerce business: use analytics to prioritize, test, learn, and iterate quickly
- Lead the full reimagination of Dutch’s product storefront — from concept through execution — partnering closely with our Creative Director, UX Lead, and Engineering team to build an experience that is both vet-credible and commercially effective
- Own the merchandising strategy: curate and manage product collections, design promotional calendars, and think holistically about how categories, bundles, and campaigns work together to drive conversion and repeat purchase
- Define and implement the right selling mechanisms across Rx and OTC — subscriptions, auto-refills, bundles, vet-recommended collections, and promotional offers — ensuring a cohesive experience that feels tailored, not transactional
- Own the conversion funnel and continuously optimize through testing and iteration
- Manage the underlying data that brings out products to life and create a strategy around how we store and maintain metadata for our products
- Manage the product catalog lifecycle — from onboarding to performance review and sunset decisions
- Continuously scout for hot new products, emerging brands, and category innovations that align with our pet parents’ needs- Demonstrated experience owning a P&L and managing to margin and profitability targets, not just top-line metrics
- Exceptional drive and self-motivation: you set ambitious goals, hold yourself accountable, and find a way to win
- Deep comfort with data: you know how to read it, question it, and turn it into decisions and recommendations
- Strong commercial instincts — you can identify a market opportunity, build a business case, and execute a plan to capture it
- Curiosity that does not quit — you are always asking why, looking for the next edge, and learning fast
- 7+ years of experience in product management in ecommerce, marketplace, or consumer product businesses — with a track record of driving meaningful revenue growth, preferably within a startup environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, and data science teams to build and ship
- Startup or high-growth company experience where resourcefulness and speed were table stakes
- Familiarity with vendor negotiations, wholesale buying, or marketplace supplier management
- Experience leading a storefront or marketplace redesign from concept to launch
- Background working with AI/ML-powered personalization or recommendation systems
- Experience in pet, health & wellness, or subscription ecommerce
