  • **Digital Marketing & E-commerce Specialist**
  • **Company:** Battle Sports
  • **Location:** Omaha, Nebraska
  • **Job Type:** Full-time, In-Person
  • **Reports to:** Director of E-commerce
  • **Position Summary**
  • Battle Sports is looking for a hands-on Digital Marketing & E-commerce Specialist to support the day-to-day execution of our direct-to-consumer business.
  • This is not a narrow social media or paid advertising position. It’s a cross-functional role for someone comfortable working across Shopify, email and SMS, paid media, website merchandising, analytics, SEO and conversion optimization.
  • You’ll help turn marketing plans into finished work: building campaigns, updating the website, pulling reports, checking tracking, coordinating creative assets and keeping projects moving. The right person is organized, technically comfortable and willing to solve problems instead of waiting for perfect instructions.
  • You do not need to be an expert in every channel. You do need enough digital marketing experience to work across multiple platforms, learn quickly and consistently finish the details that make campaigns successful.
  • **What You’ll Do**
  • **E-commerce and Shopify**
  • Manage routine Shopify updates, including products, collections, navigation, landing pages, promotions and site content.
  • Merchandise products and collections around launches, seasonal demand, inventory and campaign priorities.
  • Build and update promotional pages, product content, size charts, FAQs and other customer-facing website content.
  • Conduct regular site checks to identify broken links, outdated messaging, merchandising problems and customer-experience issues.
  • Support product launches by coordinating website setup, promotional content, email, paid media and tracking.
  • Assist with Shopify apps and integrations related to reviews, returns, shipping protection, customer service and conversion.
  • Monitor website performance and recommend practical improvements to navigation, product discovery and conversion.
  • **Email and SMS Marketing**
  • Build, test, schedule and deploy campaigns in Klaviyo.
  • Maintain the promotional email and SMS calendar.
  • Assist with customer segmentation, personalization and campaign targeting.
  • Build and improve automated flows such as welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, back-in-stock and customer retention.
  • Perform quality-assurance checks on links, discount codes, product feeds, mobile formatting and tracking before deployment.
  • Track campaign and flow performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, click rates and conversion.
  • **Paid Media Support**
  • Support campaign execution across Meta, Google, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Upload creative, write or edit ad copy, maintain naming conventions and verify campaign links and UTMs.
  • Coordinate creative requests and ensure assets meet channel specifications.
  • Monitor pacing, delivery and performance for potential issues.
  • Assist with catalog campaigns, product sets, audiences and promotional updates.
  • Pull performance data and prepare clear summaries of what changed, what worked and what needs attention.
  • Help maintain tracking accuracy across advertising platforms and website analytics.
  • This role supports paid media execution and analysis. Final budget ownership and high-level media strategy remain with the Director of E-commerce.
  • **Analytics and Reporting**
  • Use Shopify, GA4, Klaviyo and advertising-platform data to monitor traffic, sales, conversion rate, average order value and campaign performance.
  • Build and maintain recurring reports and performance dashboards.
  • Investigate unexpected changes in traffic, conversion, revenue or tracking.
  • Help validate campaign tracking, events, pixels, UTMs and landing-page reporting.
  • Translate data into useful observations and recommended actions, not just spreadsheets.
  • **SEO, Content and Conversion**
  • Update page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and on-page content.
  • Support collection-page, product-page and blog SEO initiatives.
  • Identify broken links, outdated pages and basic technical SEO issues.
  • Assist with landing-page and product-page testing.
  • Review site behavior and performance data to identify conversion opportunities.
  • Coordinate content updates with product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
  • **Project and Campaign Execution**
  • Maintain campaign checklists, deadlines and digital-marketing calendars.
  • Coordinate with internal creative, product, sales and operations teams.
  • Organize creative assets and ensure the correct versions are used across channels.
  • Communicate project status, missing information and potential problems before they affect a launch.
  • Document repeatable processes so routine work can be completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Take ownership of assigned work from initial request through final quality assurance.
  • **What We’re Looking For**
  • Two to five years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce or a related hands-on role.
  • Working experience with Shopify or another major e-commerce platform.
  • Experience building and deploying email campaigns in Klaviyo or a similar platform.
  • Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads or comparable advertising platforms.
  • Working knowledge of GA4, campaign tracking and common e-commerce performance metrics.
  • Basic understanding of SEO, website merchandising and conversion optimization.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with performance data.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing track of details.
  • Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Willingness to troubleshoot unfamiliar problems and learn new tools.
  • Ability to distinguish between a task that can be handled independently and one that needs to be escalated.
  • **Helpful, but Not Required**

Experience with shopify plus

Experience with klaviyo email and sms flows

  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, Meta catalogs or product feeds.
  • Basic HTML, CSS or Shopify Liquid knowledge.
  • Experience with A/B testing or conversion-rate optimization.
  • Experience working for a consumer brand, retailer or direct-to-consumer company.
  • Interest in football, sports equipment, footwear or athletic apparel.
  • **What Success Looks Like**
  • Within the first six months, the Digital Marketing & E-commerce Specialist should be able to:
  • Independently complete routine Shopify and website updates.
  • Build, test and schedule email and SMS campaigns with minimal corrections.
  • Support product launches and promotions using a consistent process.
  • Maintain accurate campaign links, tracking and naming conventions.
  • Produce dependable weekly performance reporting.
  • Identify website, campaign and tracking issues before they become larger problems.
  • Reduce the number of routine execution tasks requiring direct involvement from the Director of E-commerce.
  • **The Person Who Will Succeed Here**
  • You’ll likely succeed in this position if you:
  • Enjoy working across several areas instead of specializing in only one channel.
  • Are comfortable switching between creative, analytical and technical tasks.
  • Check your work before someone else has to.
  • Ask focused questions but don’t need every step mapped out for you.
  • Can prioritize revenue-impacting work when several requests arrive at once.
  • Take responsibility for solving problems instead of simply reporting them.
  • This position will be frustrating if you only want to develop strategy, manage agencies or work exclusively in social media, content creation or paid advertising. It is a hands-on execution role.
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
