- **Key Responsibilities / Candidate Requirements**
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture of the e-commerce ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scalability requirements, security standards, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between organization and external delivery partners (e.g., development vendors, system integrators, and technology providers), providing architectural guidance, technical oversight, and decision support.
- Lead solution design discussions and scenario-based problem solving, demonstrating the ability to define well-structured, scalable, and practical solutions for current and future business challenges.
- Lead solution design and integration activities across e-commerce, ERP, PIM, CRM, CMS, payment, search, and other enterprise platforms, ensuring seamless data and process flows.
- Review and govern technical designs, development approaches, and implementation plans proposed by vendors to ensure compliance with organization technology standards, best practices, and long-term roadmap objectives.
- Drive technical decision-making and issue resolution for complex platform enhancements, integrations, performance challenges, and production incidents, serving as the go-to technical authority for the e-commerce landscape.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into structured solution designs with clear architectural rationale.
- Ensure solutions are designed with strong focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability, including understanding, tracking, and optimizing key performance metrics.
- Support platform modernization, technology roadmap planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance platform performance, maintainability, security, and customer experience.
- **Preferred Skills & Experience**
- Strong experience in enterprise architecture and large-scale B2B/B2C e-commerce platforms.
- Deep understanding of system integrations, APIs, middleware, microservices, and cloud-based architectures.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and core cloud concepts such as hosting models, scalability, and monitoring not expected to be a cloud expert, but must be able to apply cloud thinking in solution design.
- Proven ability to handle real-world business scenarios through structured solutioning and clear architectural thinking.
- Hands-on understanding of performance engineering principles, performance metrics, and performance optimization approaches.
- Experience managing and governing third-party development vendors and distributed delivery teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
- Experience with digital commerce ecosystems, product information management, order management, and ERP integrations.
- Strong architecture review, technical governance, and solution assurance capabilities with focus on performance, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
- Demonstrated readiness to take ownership from day one and operate independently in a fast-paced delivery environment.
