- Athletic Pride Gear is looking for a
- **Pinterest E-Commerce & Content Strategy Intern**
- who wants hands-on experience learning how Pinterest can turn visual discovery into website traffic and e-commerce sales.
- **This is not a “just post some Pins” internship.**
- You’ll take ownership of one real platform and help answer a real marketing question:
- **How can Athletic Pride Gear turn Pinterest visibility into qualified traffic and sales?**
- APG already has an established Pinterest Business account, an active Shopify product catalog, connected ecommerce tracking, organized boards, and a large library of athlete-focused creative content.
- We’ve also already learned something important: when we posted consistently — approximately
- **3 Pins per day**

- **3,000–4,000 views**
- Now we want to learn what happens

- What You’ll Work On
- During the 90-day internship, you may:
- Help maintain a consistent Pinterest publishing schedule
- Research Pinterest keywords, search behavior, trends, and audience interests
- Create and optimize Pins using existing APG products, athlete photography, campaigns, blogs, and brand content
- Write Pinterest-friendly titles and descriptions
- Organize and strengthen Pinterest boards
- Test different types of content, including:
- Product Pins
- Athlete lifestyle content
- Mindset and performance content
- Women’s sports content
- Coaching content
- LGBTQ+/Pride athlete content
- Blog/editorial content
- Seasonal and promotional content
- Compare product-focused Pins with non-product content
- Test headlines, imagery, calls to action, keywords, and formats
- Review Pinterest analytics and identify what is actually working
- Track impressions, saves, Pin clicks, outbound clicks, website visits, and conversion activity
- Use Pinterest Trends and other available tools to identify opportunities
- Recommend what APG should do more of — and what we should stop doing
- The goal is not simply to increase impressions.
- The goal is to learn:
- **What makes someone leave Pinterest and visit Athletic Pride Gear?**
- Your 90-Day Challenge
- Your internship will follow a simple progression:
- Month 1 — Learn & Establish the Baseline
- Understand APG, our audiences, existing boards, content, products, analytics, and current Pinterest performance.
- Maintain consistent publishing and identify what earns attention.
- Month 2 — Test for Traffic
- Experiment with content types, keywords, headlines, imagery, products, audiences, and calls to action.
- Determine what generates actual outbound clicks — not just views.
- Month 3 — Optimize & Recommend
- Concentrate on what is performing best and help develop a repeatable Pinterest strategy for

- At the end of the internship, you’ll help create an
- **APG Pinterest Playbook**
- documenting:
- **What worked → What didn’t → Best content → Best audiences → Best keywords → Best products → Recommended posting strategy → What APG should test next**

- founder of Athletic Pride Gear.
- Sheri brings more than five decades of experience across athletics, coaching, entrepreneurship, education, business ownership, and professional softball umpiring.
- She has built multiple businesses from the ground up and created this internship program to give students and early-career professionals the kind of hands-on experience and mentorship that can be difficult to get from a classroom alone.
- You do not need to know everything about Pinterest before you start.
- You do need to be willing to
- **research, experiment, think, learn, communicate, accept feedback, and follow through.**
- You Might Be a Good Fit If You
- Are a college student, recent graduate, or early-career professional
- Are interested in digital marketing, ecommerce, Pinterest, social media, content strategy, or sports marketing
- Enjoy research and figuring out why something works
- Have experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar visual-content tools
- Understand that impressions alone do not equal business results
- Are comfortable looking at analytics and making recommendations
- Are interested in sports, athletes, women’s sports, coaching, or sports culture
- Can work independently and take ownership of a platform
- Are organized and dependable
- Can accept direct, constructive feedback
- Are comfortable creating content involving LGBTQ+/queer athletes, Pride, identity, representation, inclusion, and belonging
- Are currently located in the United States
- Pinterest experience is helpful, but
- **not required**
- Curiosity, judgment, initiative, and follow-through matter more.
