- We are seeking a Senior Ecommerce Developer with a deep understanding of the Shopify platform. This role requires deep expertise in Shopify’s ecosystem, strong front-end engineering skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- You will partner closely with developers, designers, business analysts, projects managers, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional commerce experiences.
- **Responsibilities**
- Design, build, and maintain custom Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts & POS extensions
- Develop custom themes, sections, and Shopify Functions using Liquid, React, React Native, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Build and integrate custom Shopify apps using Shopify APIs (JavaScript, APIs)
- Implement and/or integrate advanced checkout, cart, and subscription customizations
- Optimize storefront performance, accessibility, and SEO
- Implement integrations with third-party systems (ERP, OMS, CMS, PIM, payment providers, analytics, etc)
- Collaborate with UX/design to advise & implement pixel-perfect, responsive experiences
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide long-term solutions
- **Required Qualifications**
- 5+ years of professional web development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Shopify and Shopify Plus development
- Strong expertise in: Shopify Liquid, JavaScript and HTML / CSS
- Experience with Shopify Storefront API, Admin API, and GraphQL
- Experience building or extending custom Shopify apps
- Deep understanding of Shopify theme architecture (Online Store 2.0, Horizons)
- Familiarity with modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn)
- Experience with Git and modern CI/CD workflows
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- **Nice to Have**
- Experience with Shopify POS & React Native
- Experience with Headless Shopify (Hydrogen, Next.js, Remix)
- Shopify Plus experience (Checkout Extensibility, Scripts, Functions)
- Experience with React or similar frameworks
- Knowledge of eCommerce best practices (conversion, merchandising, SEO)
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Shopify certification(s)
