- **About The Role**
- Miva is currently seeking a skilled Full-Stack Web Developer to join its Professional Services team. This role is pivotal in delivering customized, high-performance e-commerce experiences built on the Miva platform. The ideal candidate will possess solid solution engineering skills, extensive e-commerce experience, and a strong foundation in core web technologies. This is a client-facing, delivery-focused position that involves translating complex business requirements into effective technical solutions. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery within scope, enhancing platform capabilities through efficient development and innovative use of AI tools. The role emphasizes building scalable, optimized storefronts and integrations, ensuring cross-browser/device compatibility, and enhancing user experience and conversion rates.
- **Qualifications**
- 3+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 1 year in e-commerce
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
- Strong knowledge of CSS that works across browsers without relying on CSS-in-JS libraries
- Experience building API integrations using REST and/or SOAP protocols
- Working knowledge of PHP and SQL-based databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Understanding of DOM manipulation without external libraries
- Experience with Git-based workflows, including AI-enhanced pull requests and automated commits
- Solid understanding of performance optimization, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Excellent communication skills, especially in remote, collaborative environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a client-facing setting
- Bonus qualifications include experience with platforms like Miva, Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento, familiarity with ERPs/CRMs such as Salesforce or NetSuite, knowledge of build tools like Webpack, experience with modern PHP frameworks like Laravel, and familiarity with containerization tools like Docker. Additional experience in AI automation, CI/CD workflows, or agency settings is also advantageous.
- **Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain e-commerce storefronts utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript within Miva’s templating environment
- Create efficient server-side logic using Miva Template Language (MVT) to support dynamic content
- Build and support integrations with external systems, including REST/SOAP APIs, ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways, and marketing tools
- Act as the technical liaison between clients and their broader business ecosystems, translating technical concepts into understandable insights
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend, backend, and configuration issues across various platforms
- Optimize website performance, SEO, accessibility, and conversion metrics, including Core Web Vitals and GA4
- Implement merchandising strategies, personalization, promotions, and optimized purchase flows to enhance user engagement
- Ensure cross-browser and mobile responsiveness through a mobile-first approach
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within scope and deadlines
- Leverage AI tools for rapid prototyping, code generation, workflow automation, and documentation, maintaining high code quality
