- **About The Role**
- Miva is currently seeking a skilled Full-Stack Web Developer to join its Professional Services team. This client-facing role focuses on building and maintaining high-performing eCommerce experiences on the Miva platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong solution engineering skills, deep eCommerce experience, and a solid foundation in core web technologies. The role involves collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other delivery team members to translate business needs into effective technical solutions within scope and timelines. As a key technical liaison, you will communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients, ensuring seamless integration and optimal platform utilization. The position emphasizes AI-driven development, leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate prototyping, code generation, workflow automation, and performance optimization, all while maintaining high code quality standards.
- **Qualifications**
- 3+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 1+ year in eCommerce
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
- Ability to write cross-browser compatible CSS without relying on CSS-in-JS libraries
- Experience building and supporting API integrations (REST and SOAP)
- Working knowledge of PHP and SQL-based databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of DOM manipulation without external libraries
- Experience with Git workflows, including AI-enhanced pull requests and automated commits
- Knowledge of performance optimization, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Excellent communication skills for remote, collaborative environments
- Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
- **Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain eCommerce storefronts using HTML5, CSS3, and modern vanilla JavaScript within Miva’s templating environment
- Write efficient server-side logic utilizing Miva Template Language (MVT) to support dynamic content
- Build and support integrations with external systems such as REST/SOAP APIs, ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways, shipping providers, and analytics tools
- Act as the technical intermediary between client storefronts and broader business ecosystems
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend, backend, and configuration issues across multiple platforms
- Optimize website performance, SEO, accessibility, and conversion metrics (Core Web Vitals, GA4, GTM)
- Implement merchandising strategies, personalization, promotions, and optimized purchase flows
- Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility with a mobile-first approach
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions within scope and deadlines
- Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients and stakeholders
