- **About The Role**
- Miva is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Web Developer to join its Professional Services team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing e-commerce storefronts on the Miva platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong solution engineering skills and extensive e-commerce experience, with a focus on building efficient, scalable, and user-centric online shopping experiences. As a client-facing position, the Web Developer will work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other delivery team members to translate business needs into technical solutions that maximize platform capabilities. The role involves utilizing core web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript, with an emphasis on solid engineering fundamentals complemented by modern AI tooling. The developer will act as a technical liaison, communicating effectively with clients, providing guidance, and ensuring project scope and timelines are met. The position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage AI-driven development techniques, automate workflows, and contribute to innovative e-commerce solutions that enhance client success and satisfaction.
- **Qualifications**
- 3+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 1 year in e-commerce
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
- Strong understanding of DOM manipulation without reliance on external libraries
- Experience building API integrations using REST and/or SOAP protocols
- Working knowledge of PHP and SQL-based databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with Git workflows, including AI-enhanced pull requests and automated commits
- Knowledge of performance optimization, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Excellent communication skills, especially in remote, collaborative environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver client-facing solutions within scope and deadlines
- **Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain e-commerce storefronts utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and modern vanilla JavaScript within Miva’s templating environment
- Create efficient server-side logic using Miva Template Language (MVT) to support dynamic content
- Build and support integrations with external systems such as REST/SOAP APIs, ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways, shipping providers, and analytics tools
- Act as the technical liaison between clients’ storefronts and their broader business ecosystems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend, backend, and configuration issues across multiple platforms
- Optimize website performance, SEO, accessibility, and conversion metrics, including Core Web Vitals, GA4, and GTM
- Implement merchandising strategies, personalization, promotional campaigns, and optimized purchase flows
- Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility with a mobile-first approach
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects within scope, budget, and timeline
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients and non-technical stakeholders
